"Last year was a great year for the Stock Show. There was a lot of skepticism about the possible turn out with the economy being as harsh as it was but it was nice to see that many of us were wrong. Not only did we see people from across the Midwest region but we even saw some Black Hills residents who decided to make the most of a staycation in Rapid City," said Nancy Smith, General Manager of the Howard Johnson Rapid City.

With the success of last year's Stock Show, local hotels and restaurants are beginning to offer packages in hopes of seeing another large turnout.
