The 1929 French Tudor has been completely renovated with an eye toward retaining its historic integrity, says Ilene Parsont of Soheila Sharf Realty, who has the exclusive listing. So although the masonry and stone home contains state-of-the-art smart technology as well as new plumbing, electrical and stereo systems, it still looks period, thanks in part to details as such antique slate shingles used on the roof and a triple-height rear-facing window wall constructed of lead caning and imported glass. “They tried to keep the house as it was,” says Parsont.

Stephen Byrns, a former New York City Landmarks commissioner, was the architect on the project.
