FILM HIGHLIGHTS

The Color of Cannibals - When the living dead attack a small town in Maine, the fate of the world falls upon a 10-year old boy genius and a delusional Goth rocker.

Northern Comfort - The story of Horace (Rod Webber) and Cassandra (Greta Gerwig), two lost souls who meet while traveling to Canada in search of answers.

"Captain Boards" - Filmed in Austin, this long board documentary features local artist, musician, and long board creator, Aaron Mattley, as he rolls through Austin. Mattley explores the Austin Green Belt in this film and tries to teach others to long board, including local personality now passed on, Lesley Cochran.

Sleep Walk - An experimental art film, Sleep Walk is told through an unspoken alternative narrative technique. The "myth" is conveyed through paintings, giving a glimpse into the past universe as experienced by the Yayman civilization. The film sees the world through the eyes of the dreamer, and attempts to take us into the future of this civilization

"Planet Diva" -  Ten years after a chemical war changes most women into divas (and most men into their subservients), a few REEL men and women confront this global domination by seeking the powers of Gaia (Mother Earth) to harmonize the planet. œPlanet Diva was an official selection of the Pollygrind Film Festival 2012.

My America -  Maynard Brayboy (played by Joseph James Bellamy) is an erudite, educated African American who served in Iraq, but now substitute teaches at a mostly white high school. This is the worst day of his life. On the one-year anniversary of his wife's death, which was the result of a heinous hate-crime, he is fired from his job, and turns on the TV to see bigots at a œTea Party rally doing what bigots do best.

MUSIC HIGHLIGHTS

Amelia Love - "Sings like honey and whistles like a bird." Amy Love grew up singing in harmony with her family during road trips. She discover the ukulele a few years ago and has since joined bands across the Americas, playing tango in Buenos Aires, samba in Rio, and jazzy Americana from Austin to Seattle.

The Decade Show - Formed in 2010, the band consists of John Hunt and Jeff Jones, both from early 2000 Austin scene mainstay Fivehead, Don Clark from Bedbug and Secret Weapons, and newcomer Jonathan Bannister. Bonded by their love of college radio during the 80s and 90s, the band has put together 12 tracks of distortion driven guitar rock. The songs deal with late nights, crippling depression, stifling obligations, and bad choices. The Decade Show are releasing their first album, Sure, on April 2nd.
