Renée Barnow Honored With International Coach Federation-Metro DC President’s Award

(Free-Press-Release.com) June 17, 2010 -- Renée Barnow, Agent of Calm and founder of Rightline, a coaching and consulting company based in Washington, DC, has been honored with the International Coach Federation’s Metro DC Chapter President’s Award. The award, given to recognize extraordinary dedication and service to the organization, was presented at the group’s 7th Annual Capital Coaches Conference on June 2, 2010.

At the ceremony, Susan Samakow, President of the ICF-Metro DC Chapter, had these words about Barnow. “This year’s President’s Award is being given to someone who has been serving on the board, with her heart and her head, for several years. To me this award is about service and Renée has given of herself with abundance. Her contributions have been made in several significant areas.”

Among the achievements Samakow noted was the creation of “News and Notes,” the chapter’s bi-weekly upcoming events newsletter, and “Learning,” the group’s quarterly publication that gives members the opportunity to write articles and reviews of coaching related books and programs. In addition, Barnow participated in and created a six-session program for an ICF-Metro DC Chapter community outreach program, which presented workshops and group coaching to residents at a local transitional housing program. She also designed and developed the printed program booklet for the Capital Coaches Conference for years. Barnow currently serves as the ICF-Metro DC Board’s Director of Communication.
