Renault and the makers of The Sims 3, EA, have signed a deal to integrate the Renault cars into the game as part of the environmentally friendly EVP (Electric Vehicle Pack), which can be downloaded for free by The Sims 3 players. The EVP also includes such green products as solar panels and windmills and it is claimed will reduce the virtual household bills of The Sims families.

The real electric car is not as far off as you might think, although of course the real thing won't be available as a free download! Renault has already developed an electric concept car, the Renault Twizy Z.E, which is being further developed at present.

Renault may be hoping that players of The Sims 3 can give feedback on the virtual car to improve the real thing.
