Richmond Rockets and their fans Score up with YoungLion Entertainment
New alliance will bring live musical talent to games, additional team apparel and concessions to enhance fan experience for Richmond's playoff contending professional basketball team.

The Richmond Rockets of the American Basketball Association announced the signing of a comprehensive marketing and business development deal with Young Lion Entertainment, LLC. The Rockets have quickly established a strong presence in their first season in the ABA, with an entertaining, high scoring style of play that has the team in 2nd place in the eight team Pacific Division.
“The Rockets are playing at a very high level, and now is the time to aggressively step up the promotions, community engagement and enhanced fan experience through this exciting new alliance with Young Lion Entertainment,”said Eric Marquis, CEO of Richmond Rockets LLC. Charles “Chuck Johnson, CEO of Young Lion noted: “High quality professional basketball teamed up with live musical performance is a perfect combination. This partnership will showcase talent that originated from the Bay Area and that are local and internationally known. Music has always been a key element to the entertainment aspect of sporting events, what way better than to make games dedicated to premier performances.
Marquis also emphasized that the Rockets’ new arrangement will bring greater visibility and support to youth programs supported by the team including the Richmond PAL, Richmond Children's Foundation, YMCA of the East Bay, among others. “The Rockets embrace our role as an important community asset for family entertainment and increasing support for East Bay youth.
About Richmond Rockets LLC – The Richmond Rockets are a professional basketball team in the American Basketball Association. Rockets players are former college basketball players, some with international playing experience. The team plays its home games at the Richmond Civic Center Memorial Auditorium, and tickets to the games are $10 general admission and most games are held on Friday or Saturday evening at 7:30pm.
