The Rights Now Rally Focus is to bring and heighten awareness. It is circumvented and purposed to address the State of Florida and its assault against voting and the Democratic Process. The following key principles are the catalyst for the Rights Now Rally: Discriminatory impact on minorities, college students, and the elderly, Disfranchisement policies based on discriminatory animus, policies that increases the difficulty in regaining civil rights, Clemency policies that are established to permanently disfranchise unsuspecting voters (approx. 100,000), Clemency policies that has no legitimate basis other than to reduce Democratic Party votes, and funnel tax dollars to private industries, Clemency policies that deteriorates public safety, and Policies that create division between minority groups. All of the aforementioned aspects are inclusive of the focal point for the Rights Now Rally. The Rights Now Rally and its concurrent observance on International Human Rights Day 2011, asserts and reaffirms the Preamble to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which in short recognizes the inherent dignity, equality, and inalienable rights of all members of the human family.
