Rising R&B/Pop star, AiRis gaining International Recognition with a nomination in the category of Best Female Video for the Soundcity Music Video Awards

MIAMI, FL September 16, 2010 — ICY PR is proud to announce that its client, International R&B Artist AiRis, has been nominated for a Sound City Music Video Award in the category of Best Female Video, alongside other talented African music artists, for her debut video ‘Without You.” Sound City Music Awards is a highly recognized music awards show in Africa with the aim of recognizing the works of music video artists, producers, directors and all other artist professionals in the music video industry who have demonstrated exemplary talent and are breaking industry standards. The Sound City Music Awards will be held November 20th, 2010 at the all new Eko Hotel Expo in Lagos, Nigeria and will broadcast live across 50 African countries. It is expected to be a sensational event featuring some of the brightest and most dynamic artists from all over the African continent.
This recognition is a breaking milestone for the new artist, Airis as it is her first nomination of its kind since the release of her debut video and it also acclaims the originality and talent behind her art. The video, which debuted back in May 2010 and directed by BET Hip Hop Award winning Director Adam Rush, has been gathering a lot of waves and gaining plethora of international media attention. Currently, it is the 3rd most watched video on Sound City Video Music Award website beating out videos by D’banj and 2Face Idibia.

Greatly influenced by Mediterranean, rock, pop and African music, AiRis is truly an international Artist. Born in
Cairo, Egypt to a Nigerian Father and an Egyptian mother, AiRis spent her young adult years between Nigeria,
United Kingdom, and Egypt. In the Fall of 2009, AiRis moved to Nigeria to pursue her singing/song writing
career and in the spring of 2010 she created AiRis Music, her own record label. In creating her music, AiRis tries
