Rising Star Academy Inc. and YAPO Computer Learning Center To Give Five Families Christmas Donations Saturday at 1 p.m. at YAPO Computer Learning Center 26 Leanee Avenue in Pontiac.

Pontiac, Michigan, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 16, 2010 -- At least five families are to receive Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas dinner, a Christmas Tree, clothing, coats and presents for children and parents. Winning families submitted a one-page essay on "Why my family should be adopted for the holidays", and recipients will be selected base on the content of the essays. If funds allow, more than five families will be selected. Essays must have been postmarked by November 15, 2010.

The families will be awarded Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday November 20, 2010 at 1 p.m.. Christmas dinner, a trees and presents will be presented in December. "This is a great opportunity to work with two outstanding non-profit organizations which are providing a much needed service in our city" Councilman Randy Carter states. "District 4 is collaborating with District 5 Citizens District Council, Rising Star Academy Inc. and YAPO Computer Learning Center in preserving the Holiday spirit in our communities"
