Robin Gable
Robin Gable began playing guitar at the age of 13 with an all girl rock band called The Wild Things. The band made the Columbus Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Robin, being a multifaceted entertainer began traveling nationwide in 1967. Robin traveled with various bands through the years and in 1976 she moved to California. Her style of music is a mixture of country and folk and what a grand mixture it is. She has an amazing following worldwide who adore her signature sound.
Robin Gables latest project “Songs From A Pissed Off Woman (& other love songs)” has been getting rave reviews since it was released in September, 2011. Robin is highlighting 6 songs which she believes reveals all the sides of her glorious personality and writing style. She does, after all, write, arrange and record all her own music.
Songs such as:
“If Your Phone Don’t Ring” has that authentic country twang to it. It’s a fun dancing song. It has a great rhythm, great beat and an all around great song.
“Dallas” is a love song about a cowboy. Its soft sound makes you want to sit and sway to the rhythm while you listen to the sweet story.
“Jami” is a soft, tender “lullaby written for my youngest daughter Jami”, states Robin. It is absolutely the sweetest, most loving song I’ve heard in quite some time.
“How Lucky” is an upbeat song of gratitude for a lifelong friendship. It has a great southern sound to it, a great beat and that story just keeps you listening and singing along.
“Not the Best Love” really shows the diversity of her style. She takes this song up one notch with a nice 50’s country beat to it. That vocal accent gives this song such an attitude. It’s about an ex relationship with a bit of dry humor to it.
“How Can I Miss You?” has humorous lyrics to it with the music to match. It was arranged with a tongue in cheek appeal to it. The delivery of the lyrics are clever and packed with animated dramatics.
Robin has been heard on radio, television, recordings, nightclubs and concerts throughout the United States, and has opened for various groups including Kenny Loggins, Ed Fry and The Ink Spots.
Robin performs a wide variety of venues from contemporary/pop as well as her own music. She also received awards for two of her original compositions at the American Song Festival Awards. Robin’s style of music and stage presents draws audiences from all over for a wonderful evening out. Robin is a must buy and a must see in my book.
