The Ridgefield Memorial High School Alumni Scholarship Fund, along with Class of ‘83 Alumni & Fitness Celebrity Rocco Castellano, is pleased to announce Rocco’s return to his Alma Mater to conduct one of his famous Boot Camps on Saturday, September 26th from 12:00pm – 1:00 pm at the Ridgefield Memorial HS Gym on Walnut Street in Ridgefield (check-in begins at 11:30am).
Rocco Castellano, CPFT, is internationally known and is a controversial fitness expert with a career spanning over 22 years. Rocco is much more than simply a Trainer-to-the-Stars, he has also trained contestants for Miss USA, & has worked with the likes of Bonnie Raitt, John F. Kennedy, Jr., Spike Lee, & artist William Wegman. Rocco has also won an Emmy for his “MADE” episode on MTV. Rocco is frequently asked for fitness advice & is the author of 3 fitness books. The RMHS Alumni Scholarship Fund was founded this past spring by Alumni Michele A. Petrillo. Michele along with fellow Alumni Dana Cardillo & Rocco Umbrino, were organzing a Business Networking Reunion this past June for fellow Alumni to attend & network their various businesses. As this event started to grow & generate a profit, Michele researched several possibilities where the profits could be applied. It was then after a meeting which Michele had with the RMHS Principal, Dr. Jack, & fellow Alumni Kerry Moots that the Scholarship Fund criteria was created & it was established that the Alumni Scholarship Fund would distribute two $1,500.00 scholarships to two students starting with the Ridgefield Memorial HS Graduating Class of 2010 & continue with each Graduating Class thereafter.
Michele Petrillo, Kerry Moots & Dana Cardillo will be responsible for overseeing the Scholarship Fund & will assure that two Scholarships will be distributed yearly to two graduating students from Ridgefield Memorial High School who are academically in good standing, who has not received an additional scholarship & whose family is suffering a hardship. The creation of these Scholarships will now allow the students to continue their education & allow them to take another step closer to achieving their goals.
As Rocco feels it is important to give back to his Alma Mater, we are pleased to announce that not only will Rocco be donating his time for this event but he will also be providing each participant with a signed copy of his third published fitness book. This will now allow 100% of your donation of $25.00 to go directly to the Alumni Scholarship Fund.
If you would like to sign up for this event, please log on to http://www.rmhsalumnischolarshipfund.com or you may mail a check to Baskets n Beyond, 39 W. Madison Avenue, Dumont, NJ 07628 (please include the names of those attending as the event is opened to the Public).
