SALON SERENITY DONATES ALL MONEY RAISED FROM A "LADIES NIGHT OF BEAUTY" TO THE AURORA'S ANGEL OF HOPE FUND

On Sunday night ,May 16th ,Salon Serenity sponsored a "Ladies Night of Beauty" for about 18 employees of The Seasons assisted living home of East Greenwich RI.The event was organized by Barbara Absi of Salon Serenity(Owner / Stylist) and Linda Daterra of The Seasons .Also Hairsylists Robin Wilkicki and Trudi Mignanelli and recepionist Priscilla Nolan also donated their time and talents for the night. Thank You to all of you for taking your time on a Sunday.The night was originally planned as a employee appreciation night for some of The Seasons employees and Salon Serenity was going to donate their time and talents for the night ,cutting ,styling and ,manicures on the employees.Turns out $225 was raised from tips and another $75 was donated by The Seasons and all money was donated to The Aurora's Angel of Hope Fund.This fund was set up for the family of Aurora Laorenza,age 3 who passed away February 6, 2010,she was diagnosed with a very rare genetic fatal disease called San Filippo type B syndrome which affects 1 in 70,000 children.After a 6 1/2 month battle of chemotherapy,bone marrow transplant and stemcell replacement ,she lost the battle and passed away.
At the end of the night everybody involved felt good about the way they looked and what they did and it all went to a great cause.Again ,Thank You for all involved.
