Back in 2008 I made a decision. It was a tough decision. I turned my back on everything that I've ever known because I had discovered a truth that I couldn't ignore. Who am I? Well, for now I am nothing. But what I am represents everything about this struggle. I am inbetween two worlds, swimming in a torrential sea. A goy – yes. But not a x-ian/messianic and not a Jew (yet). This is a hard place to be.
One one side, Judaism — on the other side, Messianism.
I grew up x-ian/messianic for the most part, and at age 19 I had gone to live in Israel for 6 months and that experience ultimately changed my life. In my early twenties my family really started to get involved more heavily in the messianic scene. At that time I had attended a Chabad shul for a little while with my close friend and was really wanting to convert. My family disapproved of it, and as a result I started getting heavily involved in the more "rabbinic friendly" side of messianism.
What I want to share with you through this website is all that I learned while living as a x-ian and as a messianic. I feel that I have had some unique experiences working within the inner most circles of what will soon be the new face of the messianic movement. I believe this experience will allow me to warn Judaism of the impending danger by revealing the ugle face behind the movement that so graciously portrays itself to be pro-Israel and pro-Jew.
Rabbi Yisroel Salanter was a great defender of Judaism during the Jewish "enlightenment"
–When the reform Jews were trying to distroy everything that made Judaism what it is.–
Maybe, in some small way, I can be to this generation what Rabbi Yisroel Salanter was for his. A light. Shining on a darkness that would porport itself to be the truth.
