San Antonio-based Americana rock group the Melissa Ludwig Band has signed with Cinderella Records for worldwide distribution of their debut album, “Now That You’re Here.”

The album broke into the Top 60 of the national Americana charts and was named Album of the Year by readers of the San Antonio Current. Songs from the album won kudos from the 100% Music Songwriting Competition, Songwriter Serenade and the Recording Conservatory of Austin, and “The Way You Feel” was included in a compilation album for the Rock n’ Roll Marathon.

When Melissa Ludwig found her musical soul mate in Mitch Connell in 2008, the couple wasted no time giving flight to a host of songs bottled up inside a nine-to-five existence.

“This is our baby, and we have thrown everything we have into it. It's not always easy, but it feels right,” Ludwig said. “As a writing team, Mitch and I take inspiration straight from life, plus a healthy dose of fiction, and make music that we would want to listen to.”
