United States Equestrian Federation sanctions abuse of horses through its failures to enforce rules and regulations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 9, 2011 -- Press Release

The opportunity to stand our ground in the protection of the health and welfare of our horses is at hand. An exciting time has come for horsemen and horsewomen to line up in the famous cavalry charge and defend our rights and the rights of our horses. We as Americans have the opportunity to unite horse people all over the world by showing the way.

On May 16th through the 18th of 2011, the USEF Hearing Committee will be addressing a grievance filed by E. Allan Buck regarding failure of USEF to enforce the Mission Statement and rules regarding the health and welfare of the horse. This grievance is predicated upon USEF Board of Directors and Dressage Committee refusing to allow bitless dressage for the ‘second’ time.
To see the grievance text in its entirety please visit www.hartetoharte.org and click on the button that says USEF Grievance.
The ‘willful, knowing, intentional’ refusal by USEF to allow individuals to compete their horses in any venue using equipment they know benefit’s the health and welfare of their horses is in violation of the all that USEF stands for.

The ‘willful, knowing, intentional’ refusal by USEF to regulate licensed competition judges in such a manner as to demand said judges enforce all of the rules as stipulated presents an unfair field of competition for those riders who wish to meet the criteria set forth in the stipulated rules.
Mr. Buck is allowed to present affidavits in support of the rule change to allow bitless competitors predicated upon the health and welfare of the horse. And such affidavits should also support the enforcement of ‘all’ rules, regulations and especially the Mission Statement. Such affidavits with full name, address and telephone number, can be sent in PDF format to spirit bridle@yahoo.com . It would most helpful to receive donations to support this effort.

Washington D. C. has seen the million plus people marches, it is time that the horses be heard with a million plus cavalry charge at the Offices of the United States Equestrian Federation in Lexington, Kentucky.
