FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) March 7, 2011 --
NORTH POLE, AK March 7, 2011 Santa Claus Unplugged (http://santaclausunplugged.com) has made two special announcements. The first concerns the new podcast featuring the prominent Dr. Karen DeBord.
Karen DeBord has over 30 plus years experience with Cooperative Extension at three universities. She is Professor Emeritus at North Carolina State University, and was previously with Virginia Tech and University of Missouri as a child development specialist and educator.
Dr. DeBord supported Extension Agents in North Carolina's 100 counties who conduct educational programs for parents, families and child care professionals. She was also the Director of Graduate Programs for a Master's Degree in Family Life and Parenting Education. She is known nationally as an expert in parenting education and is a parent and grandparent herself.
She has been instrumental in shaping the field of professional development and preparation for family life and parenting educators from a national, statewide, and academic degree perspective.
Most recently Dr. DeBord began a new consulting business called Possibility Parenting (www.possibilityparenting.com). She is offering her first consultation for free if you mention Santa Claus Unplugged.
Santa Claus and Dr. DeBord discuss many aspects affecting children today. The thirty minute podcast can be found and downloaded at Santa’s Forum at http://SantaClausUnplugged.com.
The second announcement involves the Grand Opening of Mrs. Claus’ Attic. Mrs. Claus is selling off many rare, antiquary treasures that have been in her family for generations. Many items go back 150 – 200 or more years. She has a few newer things and some really fun and inexpensive odds and ends. This is an antiquary’s dream and most pieces are one of a kind and once gone won’t be available again.
Many of these items have some exceptional stories behind them, and Mrs. Claus has promised to tell them, so the stories may be worth the visit alone. Drop into her attic and take a look around. You never know what you may find. Mrs. Claus’ Attic can only be found at Santa Claus Unplugged.com.
