Santa Hunt Day 6: When Ted Went To Debenhams and Even Wales

December 6, 2011

I'm Ted Burns. Host of Third Degree Burns. Voted the world's best investigative TV show for five years in a row. By me. And now I'm on the hunt for Santa Claus.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 6, 2011 --

Ted Burns is starting the sixth day of his manhunt for Father Christmas, who – according to international intelligence reports and a recently-discovered receipt from a Travelodge in Hemel Hempstead – may now be operating under the title of the Snowflake Stooge. Worse still, Ted’s search has taken him to Abergavenny. That’s right. Abergavenny. But having chased all the way to the Land of the Leek following a red hot tip off from an anonymous source, it seems the Santa that was spotted hanging around some kind of festive-themed grotto in Debenhams may not have been entirely the real deal.

And this isn’t the first time it’s has happened. Have you ever been to Romney-on-the-Wold? Ted has. And Kettering. Copy that for the glamorous metropolitan hubs, and home to stars of stage and screen, that are Bracknell and Runcorn. Oh, plus a trip to Bletchley and Fenny Stratford. He desperately needs a break. And not in another motorway services station because of all that driving between Great Britain’s more disappointing outposts. But a phone call promises hope. If only because it means Ted’s finally arrived somewhere where he can get mobile reception...

About Keen City

Keen City’s name is derived from a verse in the poem The Moon’s A Balloon by E.E. Cummings, which talks about a place full of pretty people, where everyone is in love and flowers pick themselves. The company is, however, based in London, which falls short of this description in at least a couple of ways. Possibly more. Especially when you’re on the Tube. Nasty business.

The company’s first short film, Alleyman, won the British Lion Award for Achievement at the British Independent Film Awards, 2011, and received an honourable mention at this year’s Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. Another short, Darkest Before Dawn, premiered at the Cannes Short Film Corner in May 2011. A project of similar length, The Tyrant’s Cup, is currently in post-production, and Keen City’s first feature film, The Cult, is currently at the financing stage. The Keen City team is also working on a number of exciting television projects. Stay tuned.
