Santa Hunt Day 8: Could Tie Rack Have The Answer?
Santa Hunt Day 8: Could Tie Rack Have The Answer?
I'm Ted Burns. Host of Third Degree Burns. Voted the world's best investigative TV show for five years in a row. By me. And now I'm on the hunt for Santa Claus.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 8, 2011 --
The start of Ted Burns’ second week hunting for Santa Claus, the Suet Sadist, draws on the principle of the wisdom of crowds. Well, we say wisdom. We mean collective madness. And we say crowds. We mean the British public. Sure, they are not always the most reliable source of information. As anyone unfortunate enough to have listened to talk radio phone-ins will tell you. And they can’t exactly be trusted at the ballot box. Or even to choose the right winner of the X Factor. But, you know, it is much cheaper than real investigative journalism.
Joined by his faithful, and otherwise unemployable, assistant Robin Crook, Ted learns that Santa may have been masquerading as a member of the construction industry in the Cotswolds, filling up his car at a petrol station in the Garden of England, and managing a mid-market neckwear retailer in North Wales. But if can Ted avoid the red herrings, Trojan horses and temptations of product placement, he might just find a key lead…

About Keen City
Keen City’s name is derived from a verse in the poem The Moon’s A Balloon by E.E. Cummings, which talks about a place full of pretty people, where everyone is in love and flowers pick themselves. The company is, however, based in London, which falls short of this description in at least a couple of ways. Possibly more. Especially when you’re on the Tube. Nasty business.
The company’s first short film, Alleyman, won the British Lion Award for Achievement at the British Independent Film Awards, 2011, and received an honourable mention at this year’s Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. Another short, Darkest Before Dawn, premiered at the Cannes Short Film Corner in May 2011. A project of similar length, The Tyrant’s Cup, is currently in post-production, and Keen City’s first feature film, The Cult, is currently at the financing stage. The Keen City team is also working on a number of exciting television projects. Stay tuned.
