The show stopper for the evening for Satya Paul is none other than is the beautiful Jacqueline Fernandez, former Miss Sri Lanka and an actor who has recently made her Bollywood debut in the much awaited film of the year ‘Aladin’ alongside the legendary Amitabh Bachchan.

Saris: The collection of festive saris for this year is a showcasing of traditional, heritage rich saris. Puneet Nanda has chosen to revive and revolutionise aspects of woven art that have been buried in Indian history. Traditional fabrics such as silks woven in Kanjeevaram, handwoven Tussars, delicate Georgette and the finest Chiffon add an element of richness to each piece.

The Satya Paul collection has printed Kanjeevarams are a beautiful blend of the old and the new; while keeping in the beautiful richness of the thread work and borders of the Kanjeevaram, the use of print makes the look of the woman to be years younger.

Another unique aspect of the Satya Paul Kanjeevarams is the unique use of Kundan; while the collection has unusual prints which are an infusion of calligraphy with prints of woven textures. Various techniques are used with a masterful control to achieve the look.

There is a section with a predominance of reds and creams with traditional gold borders. Emerald greens, maroons, rusts and varying shades of dusky blue are found in the balance.

Included in the collection, are new designs in the Cosmic Dance look. The Cosmic Dance collection embodies grace with a hint of magnificent royalty. Saris are rendered with the texture of rich embellishments, silk inserts and foil prints on both the regular fold saris and the pre-pleated. The collection has ready-to-drape saris with stitched skirts and crunched pallavs, accessorised with a complimenting brooch.

Blouses and Cholis: The Satya Paul blouse line for this season are a mix of tradition and sensuality; authentic designs with the use of nets, Brocade and Zari.
