Scream bandit doesn't take the Subway

Los Angeles, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) January 24, 2012 -- With his shift almost over, Officer Steven Morris of South Bay Security took one last patrol around his assigned post at the Rolling Hills Plaza in Torrance CA. The night had been quiet and a lot of stores had closed early due to a power outage. One of these stores was Subway, approaching this particular store, in his patrol vehicle, Officer Morris saw a man acting suspiciously walking away from the front door of the store. Observing him from a distance the man walked towards a parked vehicle.

At this point a member of the store staff approached Officer Morris and informed him that the man had just tried to break into the store wearing a Scream mask and brandishing a knife, obviously with the intent of robbing the store. The man, upon seeing Officer Morris then got into his vehicle and drove away, with Officer Morris following. The fast thinking security guard was already on his cellphone to the local Torrance police department and informed them of the situation.
The suspect fled the scene empty handed. Thanks in no part to blind luck that the store had closed early but more importantly to the presence of a fast acting security officer. All of the officers who work the Rolling Hills Plaza are a group of highly trained personnel who are on duty to respond to any situation from a lost dog to armed robbery.

A night to remember for Officer Morris, who is back on duty at the plaza, ensuring all is well, and a night to forget for a would be armed robber who came away with nothing except the realization that this particular plaza is well protected by the ever vigilant officers of South Bay Security.
