Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments (www.GAOInstruments.com) is offering its palm-sized, graphic SDH/PDH transmission analyzer which is designed for installing and troubleshooting E1, DS3, STM-1/OC-3, STM-4/OC-12, and STM -16/OC-48 lines. It conducts E1 pulse mask analysis, overhead analysis, point analysis and anomaly/defect analysis as well as bit error rate (BER) testing. It features compact architecture and a large TFT LCD touch screen. The analyzer belongs to GAO’s E1 BER Tester family of products.
This portable SDH/PDH transmission analyzer, model A0020005, incorporates electrical interfaces for SDH/PDH and optical interfaces for SDH/SONET while Tx and Rx are completely independent. Its various functions include automatic tributary scanning, automatic protection switching (APS) measurement and round trip delay measurement. The analyzer offers flexible software- defined simulated LED indicators for current and saved historical error indication. Performance analysis conforms to G.821, G.826, G.828, G.829, ZM.2100 and M.2101 international standards. It has a USB interface for data exchange either by cable or via storage. As well it has RJ45/RS232 interfaces. The analyzer’s firmware is upgradeable. Additionally, its large battery capacity enables continuous operation for more than 6 hours.
