Sebastian Gonzales, Active Release Chiropractor, Treats World Class Triathletes At The Ironman® World Championships in Kona Hawaii

Huntington Beach, California, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) October 15, 2010 -- HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA 10/09/10 – All competitive marathoners strive for a qualifying spot in the Boston Marathon. For all competitive Ironman® distance triathletes Kona is the Mecca. Every year triathletes must qualify within their age bracket at other Ironman® events for a spot in this race.

Participating in this event is an honor one might only get once in a lifetime, as a result, some triathletes fly here with current injuries looking for help. This is where Active Release providers like Sebastian Gonzales come in.

“Most of these athletes train from 10 to 20 hours a week up until this race and many of them are highly prone to overuse training injuries and a 24 hour plane fight doesn’t help! Some athletes come in with minor issue and other come to the Active Release (ART®) tent with hopes of being completely fixed the week of the race,” stated Dr. Gonzales.

Active Release Technique® has been providing pre-race care for over ten years, consisting of gait analysis and soft tissue care. Active Release certified providers from around the world come volunteer their time at various Ironman® events throughout the year. Their goal? To let the world of endurance sports know how ART® can affect their performance.

“Granted we all have great success with fixing training injuries in our respective practices, but the value of ART® lies in the performance and injury prevention aspects. Within minutes, a provider can watch you run and figure out potential issues with gait leading to decreased race performance. The providers at the ART® tent saw over 600 athletes this year of the 1800 participants. Still not the majority but it is becoming more and more popular. Every race more triathletes try out ART® and fall in love with the results.
