SecurityOrb.com Launches FREE Internet Safety Campaign for Kids in the D.C. Metro Area

Silver Spring, Maryland, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) February 3, 2011 -- SecurityOrb.com, an information security awareness organization is please to announce the launch of a FREE Internet Safety for Kids program in 2011. This program is geared towards middle school children ages 11-14 in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. SecurityOrb.com will volunteer their time, service and expertise to work with school administrators and Parent-Teacher Association members (PTA) to help deliver the message on how their students can better protect themselves while online.

“There is a growing concern with issues pertaining to online safety with our kids today” comments Kellep Charles, “With the recent news coverage of kids committing suicide due to the effects of being cyber-bullied, we need to educate and bring awareness on the effects of not using the Internet properly and the repercussions that can occur.”

With the recent explosion of cyber-bullying, sextexting, and other inappropriate online behavior by our youth, SecurityOrb.com feels the best way to combat the situation is through education, awareness and information about technology that can assist with the overall protection of our kids. Through our partnership with the ISC2 Safe and Secure Online Program, volunteer members help children and their parents learn how to protect themselves online.
