Seeing The Dentist In Hungary Is An Amazing First Class Experience

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 4, 2012 -- I cannot say that I was disappointed when told I would be covering a story in Hungary about the extraordinary dentistry practices there. In fact, this reporter was ecstatic. Until this point, I had been unable to afford to have any kind of work done so when the opportunity arose to report on it, I was all smiles. At least, I was until my editor told me I could not have the work done at the company's expense. As it turns out, it did not matter as I found that I could save up to 80% on the work I needed done by visiting a dentist in Hungary.

A Visit Incognito

The extraordinary prices, while amazingly low, were not the reason I was there to do a story though. Rumours had been heard that something very special was happening with dentistry in Budapest. I made an appointment incognito. Using a false name so as not to be recognized as a reporter, I mentioned that I worked in construction. You can imagine how surprised I was when my flight arrived and I was met by a driver. The Dentist had sent a car to take me to my hotel. At first, I thought that my cover had been blown but the driver said that he picked up people for the dentists in the area all the time.

The Dentist Sent a Car

The next day, a car was waiting to take me to my free consultation. I found 187 entries for dentists in the phone directory the previous night and they all claimed to offer the same services. When I arrived at the office, I found out exactly what the term friendly staff means. Everyone was so nice to me. They seemed genuinely happy to see me. The atmosphere was super cosy. Even the chairs in the waiting room were the most comfortable that I had ever used in a waiting room. Of course, I cannot be sure because I was not in the chair that long. I had no sooner filled in my new patient paperwork than my fake name was being called.

Down Home Comfort

As a child, I called the room to which I was being led the torture chamber, the dreaded treatment room where the work is actually done. Again, I was surprised because it was so nice that except for the equipment, I could have been in someone's home. Elton John's smooth and melodic voice seemed to shimmer somewhere just out of reach. Everything was spotlessly clean. In fact, I have never seen a hospital that was this clean. The real moment of truth, however, is the chair. Unlike the green, vinyl and steel dentists chair I grew up with, this was soft, supple, and unfortunately not for sale.

Seeing the dentist in Hungary was an amazing experience. It was like flying first class all the way. I saw the dentist three times that week. The good doctor is a young and athletic man who seemed to know a little about everything. He fixed my immediate problems and I plan to return to work on my overall smile during the summer. I thought I would never hear myself say this but I am actually looking forward to seeing my dentist in Hungary.
