SEO tips for 2011 SEO and article marketing

In 2010 we saw several changes is SEO that require attention. In 2011 it is expected that there will be some more SEO changes and updates.
SEO elements that have not changed and that probably will not change in the near future:

- Constantly post new content on your site, search engines do not like static websites, they like websites that are dynamic and that are always changing and that have regular updates for the content in their site. It is recommended to update your site with new pages or articles at least 3 times a week

- Get as many links as possible from as many high page ranked sites as possible. It is important to remember this is first about quality links, getting 1 million links from low quality sites will do a much worse job then getting 100 links from high quality sites.

In 2010 we saw that the search engines took a big step forward in localized results and personalized results, this trend is expected to continue in 2011. This means that if your business is in New York, it is better to get links from other new York related sites then from sites in Honduras (obviously) and even from sites that are in LA Boston or Washington.

Another new feature which was popular in 2010 is the auto search suggestion features. This trend as well will only grow in 2011 as cell phone are becoming more advance and can support this feature too. To utilize this for your benefit it is recommended to go into the search engines, type a keyword that is relevant to your business, check the auto-suggestion options and optimize for those words.

Article directories will also continue to be relevant in 2011. Writing articles and posting them to article directories like smuze.com can give you a lot of SEO value, because the articles contain links to your site, and those links have keywords as anchor text which helps you show up in the search engines.
