SGS Industrial Division in Arabian Peninsula Awarded ISO 9001:2008 Certification

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 11, 2009 -- After an extensive audit, the British Standards Institution (BSI) awarded ISO 9001:2008 Certification to the Industrial Services division of SGS in the Arabian Peninsula on November 11, 2009. This achievement demonstrates SGS’s commitment to service quality and customer satisfaction.

ISO 9000 is a family of standards and guidelines for Quality Management Systems and is maintained by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) . The ISO certification process ensures ongoing compliance with performance standards. Once certified, companies are externally audited on a regular basis to ensure continuous adherence to the standards. The current certification of SGS Industrial Services is valid for a period of three years.

The scope of SGS services which comply with the ISO 9001:2008 requirements includes: Conventional and Advanced Non-Destructive Testing, Third Party Inspection of Materials, Equipment, Plants, Pipelines, Tanks and Vessels, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Services and Lifting Equipment Inspection, and Certification and Technical Training for the Oil and Gas Industries, Petrochemicals, Refineries, Fertilizers and other industries.
