ASD-STE100 Simplified Technical English (STE) is an international writing standard that helps to make technical documentation easy to understand. STE standardizes vocabulary, grammar and style, while allowing users control their specific terminology.

STE originates from the aerospace and defense industry (where its use is often mandatory) and can easily be customized and applied to all other industries, including IT, electronics, machinery, automotive and medical equipment.
