Silva Tree Prepare for Planting Season
Throughout the harsh Panamanian dry season, Silva Tree have been preparing the Princess Project area for planting by building internal roads, staff facilities and digging water wells.

Large-scale planting of Silva Tree's Princess Poject Panama is due to commence over the next few weeks as the rainy season begins. In order to meet the demand of reforesting such as vast area, Silva Tree have been investing in the project's infrastructure during the dry season, which runs from November/December to April/May. Silva Tree have been building internal access roads, digging water wells and preparing accomodation and facilties for staff.
Silva Tree's project is expected to produce up to 2000 jobs, on full time, part time and contractual bases. The construction of the micro-propagation laboratory, which will create much neded, top-end jobs for the local community, should be completed, staffed and producing seedlings by August 2010. In the meantime, seedlings will be imported from the USA to facilitate planting of the Princess Project.
Silva Tree have purchased the exclusive licence to produce WPI's patented Paulownia Superselect seedlings for Panama and Costa Rica. This will make Silva Tree the owner of the only laboratory of its kind in Central America. The laboratory will have the capacity to produce up to 250,000 seedlings a month, which will facilitate the massive task of planting 1500 hectares fo Paulwonia for reforestation purposes. The laboratory will also serve Silva Tree's next project, based around biomass production.
