Simon Hutchby will be joining ALT Recording Studios Brighton . Simon brings a wealth of sound engineering, voice over recording, computer networking, broadcast IT and audio installations experience. Simon will be heading up the ISDN engineering team and developing this new business are for ALT Recording Studios. ALT Recording Studios aim to become a major consultant and systems installer for the Broadcast IT market. The heart of the new ISDN studio is the ProntoNet LC+, a multi-algorithm stereo audio codec over IP and ISDN, supporting many popular coding algorithms i.e. G711, G722, MPEG1/2 Layer II, MPEG1/2 Layer III and uncompressed linear audio (PCM). The ProntoNet LC+ has all the advantages of a voice over IP codec but priced as an ISDN codec, the ProntoNet LC+ is a cost effective solution to cover the current and future requirements for the broadcast and telecommunication market. ALT Recording Studios in Brighton have the environment and facilities to cover all aspects of recording from recording and mixing, post production (with an audio visual suite), HD mastering, sound design and composition to voice over and audio book recording. At the heart of the recording studios is a Pro tools HD 2 system (x2) with C24 control surfaces together with an Allen and Heath 32:8:2 analogue desk for analogue mixing.
