Simon Wilby Founder Of The Second Chance Foundation

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 25, 2010 -- Simon Wilby, adopted dog Levi, and because of high vet bills, created “The Second Chance Foundation” that will help other pet owners financially care for their needy pets expensive vet bills.

Levi, an 11 year-old black lab, was living in Calgary’s SPCA, and because no one wanted to adopt him, was scheduled for euthanasia. Through a caring e-mail campaign, he soon had volunteer walkers. During one of his walks he was injured and the SPCA thought a disc had slipped in his neck. Again it looked like the end for poor Levi, until Simon Wilby stepped in. He adopted Levi, even though the SPCA vet had declared that it would take an expensive operation to repair the problem. Simon realized at that time that he was not alone and that there must be other people out there who faced this very same dilemma. Then a show was conceived and born "The Second Chance Show" where Simon Wilby, found there was no greater feeling than helping others less fortunate and paying his good fortune forward to other great people and their animals.
