Simraceway.com (the new name for rfactorcentral.com) today announced its first features by sending a preview email to all registered rfactorcentral.com modders.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) August 12, 2009 --
New Features;
Developers’ corner: A totally new section of the site dedicated solely to modding. It includes a
gMotor developer’s Wiki, ‘how to videos’, developer news section and collaboration tools.
1 click Install: Ability for mods to be downloaded from our high speed file servers and
automatically installed without any fuss, confusion or error.
Mod Syndication: Allows modders or mod users (if a modder permits this function to their mod
listing) to share a mod’s download link on any other website or blog.
Mod Analytics: Data analytics displaying how many downloads of a mod have occurred on
simraceway servers and any other sites a modder has permitted their work too.
“Fan” & “Thank”: Tools for mod users to express their appreciation of a modders work.
Creative commons: Simraceway is focused on resolving the IP ownership issues that have
sometimes been problematic in sim modding and will support the use of creative commons
licensing (optional for all modders).
Jonathan Haswell said of the news:
The new modding features place an onus on improving the processes of producing and
managing mods, as well as simply listing them. We hope the community will find these features
useful and look forward to receiving feedback on them.
We are also currently working on some other modder IP management tools and so are
particularly keen to receive feedback on this issue generally. This is best done at;

About simraceway.com
Simraceway.com is the new name for rFactorcentral.com, a leading community resource site
for rFactor and sim racing enthusiasts. It was launched in July 2006 in response to an evident
need for a location to share community resources for the game.
Simraceway is a gaming community stewarded by Ignite Game Technologies, a Silicon Valley
based start up focused on game skill quantification and competitive gaming. It was founded in
2008 and is developing the world's first accurate skill quantification and matching engine. The
engine is potentially significant as it provides the key missing link technologies to power
competitive video gaming, a sector in its infancy, that to date has been hampered by poor skill
matching, player liquidity management challenges and uncompelling competition dynamics.
