Singer/Songwriter Jeffrey Philip Nelson Hits The Charts

As of last night at 2am Pacific Standard Time, artist Jeffrey Philip Nelson defies the odds and hits the iTunes Top 25 singer/songwriter charts. Along side of amazing musicians such as Amos Lee, Brett Dennan, and James Taylor (this talented list goes on), Jeffrey’s debut album “Could This Be…” hits the ground running from its late release date. This musician was a nobody, a handyman by trade, not known for his music by many… a closet artist. He wrote, produced and recorded his album along side the famous folk guitar mainstay Patrick Bolan from Pure Prairie League. When he started writing this album a year ago he had very few prospects in mind for where it would all end up. Financing everything from cleaning toilets, digging ditches, and giving mouth to mouth down in sunny Long Beach, Jeffrey Philip Nelson set out to write an album about the state of America-the divorce rate, the crime, the poor, and all the sadness. But he wrote this album with a vision of hope as though there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. With lyrics from the song “This Apology” Jeff says “the world can be cold, your candle blown out, and you are alone in a valley, look up in the sky, on top of the hill…there is a light to guide you home”. “Could This Be…” will rock your world in several ways.
