SIRVA Implements SilkRoad technology’s RedCarpet For Onboarding and Life Events

(September 18, 2009) – SilkRoad technology, inc., the leading provider of talent management solutions, announced today that SIRVA has recently implemented RedCarpet™ onboarding and life events management solution. SIRVA operates in more than 40 countries with approximately 2,600 employees and an extensive network of agents and other service providers in over 175 countries. RedCarpet is the second in a line of three Life Suite solutions SIRVA is implementing in order to reach and retain the best talent available.

To date, SIRVA has implemented OpenHire for recruiting management, RedCarpet for onboarding and life events, and is in the process of implementing WingSpan for performance management. Their goal in implementing the SilkRoad Life Suite is to select the best talent and keep that talent engaged from pre-employment through the employee life cycle. SIRVA is a service company, so their people are what they offer to their clients. Selecting the right talent for the right job is critical. They have called their talent acquisition portal “Careers that Move,” and OpenHire is assisting them in identifying candidates who will flourish in their environment.

For SIRVA talent acquisition is more than finding someone with a specific skill set; it is finding the right person who fits their culture and demonstrates their values and leadership behaviors. Once the candidate is selected, prior to start date, RedCarpet drives their introductory engagement process which lasts approximately 100 days—they call this “Your Move to SIRVA.” Onboarding is critical to the engagement process, and often times it is what makes or breaks an employee’s commitment to an organization.

Once WingSpan is fully implemented, it will take over to continue the engagement process throughout the rest of the employee’s career with SIRVA.
