SiteCom is PC based and uses a GSM modem plugged into the PC to send & receive SMS text messages. When an incoming SMS alert arrives, SiteCom checks it's integrated database against the incoming Caller ID of the SMS. It then pops up relevant information about the location or person, Keyholders and predefined instructions detailing what action the Operator should take for the received SMS alarm. It also allows notes on action taken and stores the event to an inbuilt event log screen with number & data based search functions.

The alerts that comes in will pop up automatically and an audible alert will repeat 'SiteCom has received a message' until the OK button is pressed. Additional alert features like a louder siren can also be triggered. The alerts can be printed automatically as they arrive. Incoming alerts can be forwarded to a mobile phone and also, depending on the User's email security settings, the alert can also be forwarded to an email address.

What else can it do?

SiteCom also has Google Maps integration built in. You can click a button on screen when an SMS alert is received and the Google Map window will pop up within the application to display the site location marker on the map. If multiple SMS alerts are received, info pop ups stack awaiting acknowledgment, and they all display as markers on the map.

What if you wanted to verify that the SMS alerts received was in fact happening? Click the CCTV pop up of course. SiteCom has IP camera support built in enabling an instant live streaming video connection to the IP camera at the location. You can take a snapshop and save the image as a JPEG file for evidence.

What is required to use SiteCom GSM Monitoring?

You need a Windows based PC, GSM Modem & SiteCom software which comes as a USB dongle so it will work on any PC it is plugged into. An internet connection is also required for the Google Maps & CCTV features. SiteCom will work with existing GSM systems including mobiles. Simply send; or program devices to send; SMS alerts to SiteCom SMS alerts and set up that site or person on the SiteCom database.

The best part is, SiteCom is inexpensive. Once purchased, the software can also be used on any Windows based PC without restriction.
