(Free-Press-Release.com) August 31, 2011 -- [Spokane, WA] –What began as a modest summer soccer camp in the summer of 1979 has turned Skyhawks into a year-round sports camp operator offering more than a dozen sports. With over a million children experiencing a Skyhawks sports program, “we wanted to find more meaningful ways to introduce Skyhawks to different parts of the country” says Skyhawks franchise President, Jason Frazier. Skyhawks was created to offer opportunities to all kids regardless of athletic or financial ability. More than 30 years later, Skyhawks will begin expanding its reach through franchising efforts.

According to the 2010 US Census, sports and recreation instruction is now over a 2 billion dollar industry and if projections prove true, Skyhawks share of the sports and recreation industry will continue to climb. Skyhawks now provides potential franchisees the means to combine a passion for sports along with a successful business franchise business plan. “Franchising affords us the opportunity to expand into new markets with local owners” says Frazier. “Our goal is to figure out how to maintain the same safety and quality at our camps while continuing to grow. We are confident local franchisees will strive for the same standards Skyhawks has set for the rest of the country.”

Skyhawks offers two types of franchises: an entry tier that allows the franchisee to sell 3 of our sports offerings. The upper tier includes every Skyhawks sports program including Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, Cheerleading, Lacrosse, Tennis, Golf, Volleyball and Track and Field. “By offering different size franchises we hope to expand our impact into a greater number of communities” says Frazier. Skyhawks currently operates in 23 states. Skyhawks has been able to expand the company from soccer-only camps into multiple athletic programs that teach lifelong skills including sportsmanship in a safe and fun environment. With a steady decline in physical education and a rise in child obesity, Skyhawks is hoping to be part of the solution to reverse this trend.
