Barzilla previously worked for a major hospital system and a travel agency, and will now be using his graphic design and web development skills to create small business websites. Based out of Houston, TX, SEO Technologies specializes in search engine marketing for local service providers ranging from plumbers to auto repair shops.

Barzilla graduated from the Art Institute of Houston in 2006 with an associate's degree in interactive media. However, he first learned to build websites at his Katy, TX high school.

"My passion for web design grew out of a love for technology that I've had since I was a kid. Then when web design presented itself to me in high school, it just stuck," he said.

Since that course, his sophomore year, Barzilla has developed skills including Photoshop graphic design, HTML/CSS development, and the creation of dynamic websites. He took up full-time web work at a Stafford, TX based travel agency, where he and a small staff of web designers built out thousands of pages on destination resorts.

He next joined the marketing staff of the Methodist Hospital System of Houston. There, he worked with medical staff to create pages for physicians and patients. He created department sub-pages, contributing his design, coding, and writing skills to the effort.

"I enjoy taking an empty space and creating something where there used to be nothing - Taking an idea out of my head and molding it into a creation," he said.

In his new role, Barzilla will be developing websites with a focus on search engine optimization for location and service.

"I look forward to bringing to the company an extreme passion for multimedia while at the same time advancing my knowledge of SEO in web design," he said.

In his spare time, Barzilla enjoys servicing and building computers. He also enjoys car repair.

"It's the same principal as a computer: It's fun to take it apart and put it back together," he said.
