SMS achieves ISO 14001 accreditation

(Free-Press-Release.com) October 27, 2010 -- Aberdeen-based sand monitoring and management services specialists, Sand Monitoring Services Ltd (SMS), announced today that it has achieved ISO 14001 environmental certification, its third accreditation in five years.

The accreditation is awarded to companies that implement a successful series of core standards for designing and implementing an effective environmental management system (EMS), which controls and reduces a business’ negative impacts on the environment.

This is a significant achievement for SMS, illustrating competency, good ethical practices and quality assurance across its environmental considerations. This accreditation comes in addition to SMS’s existing ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 18002:2007 accreditations.
