Sonoma Wine Country Trolley Offers the Ultimate Wine Country Experience

Sonoma, CA (January 4, 2012)— The Sonoma Wine Country Trolley is an authentic reproduction of a 1900’s San Francisco cable car which is now offering one of wine country’s most unique touring experiences. Owners and hosts, Ed and Jonnie McCormick have created the crème de la crème of winery touring adventures by outfitting their trolley with a one-of-a-kind gourmet kitchen. Guests will not only have 1st Class transportation to the finer Sonoma wineries, but they will have the opportunity to dine on gourmet wine country cuisine paired with the perfect glass of wine. The experience is a cross between the City food truck scene, pop up restaurants and a luxurious wine country car and driver.

The McCormicks are long-time residents of the Sonoma Valley and offer a wealth of knowledge about wine and the history of the wine business in the valley. Jonnie is a former Vice President of a national bank and former Executive Director of the Sonoma Valley Vintners and Growers Alliance. Her knowledge of Sonoma Valley wineries is extensive and allows her to tailor a tour specifically for the discerning guest. Ed is a former Marine Corps pilot and a retired airline Captain. He is both driver and guide and can share stories about the many historical and interesting places along the way. Guests get to go behind the scenes for special library tastings, cellar/vineyard tours and the occasional meet and greet with a winemaker.

Sonoma Wine Country Trolley offers daily lunch and dinner tours lasting four hours. There are monthly specials such as the upcoming Easter Lunch/Tour, April 6th-8th which pairs a seasonal spring lunch with the “hunt” for the perfect Sonoma Valley Chardonnay.

First Stop
The day will start with a private tasting at Schug Carneros Estate Winery. Their Carneros Chardonnay is one of the only US wines to win repeated Gold medals at the prestigious Chardonnay du Monde competition in France.
Second Stop

A private tasting and lunch at Nicholson Ranch Winery. Their award winning Estate Chardonnay offers a classic California style, aromatic and fruity with a light touch of French oak and the butteriness of full malolactic fermentation. Lunch will be prepared in our on board kitchen and served lake side by Scott Howard Events Catering.
Third Stop

We will travel to Depot Park where Guests will enjoy a private tasting of Hanzell Vineyards Chardonnay. This Chardonnay is a consistent award winner most recently receiving 95 points from the Wine Enthusiast.
