Soul Sistahs 9 : MOTOWN GOLD & CD Release Party!

Vancouver, BC – The Soul Sistahs, one of Canada’s top show bands will be releasing it’s second CD, entitled “Soul Sistahs 8: Acoustic Soul Jams” as well as performing its newest show “Soul Sistahs 9: Motown Gold” at the Shark Club (180 W. Georgia St.) on Tuesday, October 6, 2009. Doors 8pm

The Soul Sistahs have been performing together since the group’s inception in 2004, having performed at various private events as well as venues such as Richards on Richards, Ginger62, Caprice, appearing on Urban Rush and who opened for R&B recording artist, Ne-Yo in 2007.

The October 6th event is sure to be an exciting evening as past audiences have proven to be in the hundreds, creating a powerful energy and bringing together music lovers of all kinds into one room for the “soul” purpose of having a great time! Some of the Soul Sistahs’ followers have been attending shows since the very beginning and have stood by as the show grew to new heights.

The night will feature four vocalists who each are solo recording/performing artists but who come together to put on Soul Sistahs events. They look forward to being able to sing some of their favorite tunes by artists whom they admire and love. Jena Fair, Jessi Nicholson, Marie Hui and Christena Rich will be backed by a 7 piece big band consisting of international touring musicians. They will pay tribute to some of Motown’s greatest musicians including Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross and many more!

The Soul Sistahs have just completed the recording of their second CD which features each vocalist as well as some hot group numbers. Music includes songs by artists such as Lauryn Hill, India Arie, Corinne Bailey Rae and many more!
