South Carolina Genealogy Completes County Query Forum Integration

SouthCarolinaGenealogy.org announced today that query forum threads have now been integrated into the county detail pages. The history and genealogy site highlights the counties of South Carolina with a page providing resource material, history and links related to each of South Carolina's 46 counties. There are also seperate forums for each county. This integration means that query forum posts will now show up on the page for each counties resources. So when a user visits the page for Charleston County there will also be a listing of forum posts from the Charleston County Genealogy Forum on the same page with the county profile and research links.

Avery Parker, the sites founder, was quoted to say; "This is a great mark in the history of this site. We keep working hard to make sure that when someone posts a query in the forums they have as much chance as possible of it being seen and answered. This added integration between the forum and the county pages is going to help people’s query posts be more visible and more likely to get a response. In a lot of ways, this is like bringing the community of the forum into the web site itself."

It grew out of NorthCarolinaGenealogy.net which has roots on the web going back to 1993. The South Carolina Genealogy Query Forum is about to celebrate it’s fifth anniversary.
