South West Regional Development Agency offer 222 Sports Limited a Grant for Research and Development

Swimtag is a new and truly innovative sports management tool that is set to revolutionise swimming across the world. 222 Sports will supply the Swimtag system directly to health and fitness club operators, the service will be provided by the operators to their swimmers as part of a membership package or for a small charge. Aimed at all levels of swimmers, it not only encourages participation but also helps retain casual swimmers by providing a means of recording progress in the pool.

Swimtag allows users to review their session data from a web-enabled kiosk at the pool, from a PC in the comfort of their own home, or on the move through a smart phone. The website not only allows users to review their swimming progress, it offers a wide range of rich, interactive content to cater for a wide demographic.
“Following almost one years worth of planning and background work, including sales of the Swim 222 iPhone Apps in 43 countries, we are now delighted to have the grant offer for Swimtag,” said Kieran Sloyan, Director, 222 Sports Limited. “The funding will be used to research and assess the technological options through extensive prototyping, trials and testing to confirm the commercial potential of the idea.”
