MOTORISTS on the New South Wales central coast are being warned to expect major delays, with all southbound lanes closed at Alison following a two-truck accident.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 24, 2011 --
A semi-trailer ran up the back of another truck about 3.30am (AEDT) today, leaving the semi-trailer damaged and blocking all three lanes at Alison, north of Wyong.
All traffic travelling south is being diverted onto Sparks Rd, with motorists told to use different routes or delay their travel plans.
The Department of Transport warned the diversion was not suitable for heavy vehicles, with some forced to be parked.
The road was expected to be completely closed southbound for a number of hours.
No one was seriously injured in the accident.
The diversion off the F3 at Alison along Sparks Rd is adding half an hour to people's travel.
Trucks stuck between the accident and the diversion point had been cleared, with one lane of the F3.
