SOUTHERN SUDAN APPROVES THE LARGEST INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT IN HISTORY

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 13, 2010 -- Juba, Southern Sudan – February 12, 2010 – Five years after the signing of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), the country is now geared towards the socio-economic development by which the national hero, the late Dr. John Garang, have envisioned for the people of Southern Sudan. It will introduce 14 modern cities across the country and it will have a total of 147,000 housing units available for the locals.

The approval by the Council of the Ministers shall pave the way for the establishment of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Company by which the Government of Southern Sudan represented by the Ministry of Finance & Economic Planning, Abu Malek Companies & Agencies Ltd (AMCA), and UAS-Canada Inc. are the primary incorporators. The PPP Company with executive functions and in coordination with the Ministry of Housing, Physical Planning & Environment of GOSS, shall be mandated to implement the New South Sudan Initiative Housing Project.

The demands for goods and services from the business sectors will increase, other forms of investments will come, the financial market will be stabilized, and at the end of the project cycle the economic capacity of the locals will improve and transfer of technology to the locals will surely happen…” says by Mr. Amando M.
