Spanish Man Guilty of Leaking Unreleased Madonna Song Arrested

Charged with illegal leakage of a private property, police did not release the name of the arrested man. According to some initial reports, Madonna’s yet to release “Give Me Your Love” demo recording has been uploaded illegally since November for netizens worldwide to feast on. The album is set to debut January 2012, entitled “Hard Candy”.

Police reported to the press the initials “J.M.R.” for the arrested man, detained in Zaragoza city last Wednesday.
“The "Madonnaleaks" investigation began after lawyers for the singer -- who said in November that she was very upset over the leak -- traced the posting to Spain. Police said they found recordings of the song in a search of the suspect's belongings”, an internet report by Yahoo! News says.

“Intellectual property watchdogs have targeted Spain as one of the world's largest copyright violators. The Socialist government, which left office this week, prepared a bill aimed at shutting down file-sharing web sites providing copyrighted material. But the law was never sent to Parliament”, the report adds.

Since the issue has already been subdued by Spain’s vast police force, Madonna’s side didn’t provide any reaction towards the incident. But if things had a wee bit of tension, then the arrested man is really in it for worst. I mean, obviously, he would be facing grave charges of piracy and minor illegal cases that can pretty much cost him a stay in prison.
