(Free-Press-Release.com) February 2, 2012 -- CASSELBERRY, Florida (February 2, 2012) – “Thousands of people lined the streets of downtown St. Louis on Saturday cheering on marchers in a parade honoring veterans of America's wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the nation's first major welcome to soldiers since the end of the Iraq War.” Reuters’ Bruce Olson writes.

Together with their American flags, parade-goers joined the march in a mile-long stretch, “with the metallic Gateway Arch glistening in the background in an event reminiscent of parades following World War One and World War Two.”

“I'm just loving it,” said Staff Sergeant Chris Green, 35, who volunteered for the Missouri National Guard two months after the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington and was part of the 2003 U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

The said event was organized by a group of anonymous veterans and had enlisted the help of various social networking sites to help spread word of the event. More than informing the war veterans, the group also sought help fro volunteers as organizing such a grand event is not possible without many a hands helping them.

Not only will that be the reason, but since the event has been the first major ‘welcoming party’ since the conclusion of the war on Iraq and Afghanistan, both local citizens and war vets are just itching to celebrate and enjoy their selves.

“The ceremonies began Friday night at the Soldiers' Memorial near the Gateway Arch. There, volunteers read through the cold night the names of more than 6,000 U.S. service men and women killed in the wars since the September 11 attacks”, Olson finishes.

Looking back at their days, some of the veterans described the war as “full of bloodlust, uncertainty on whether you’ll live or not and of course, longing for your loved ones”. But since getting past the age of being deployed to the war, some of them are getting their hands on trusted veterans business opportunity to get a change of pace.

While it may be true that some of them receive pensions after retiring, veterans can just relax and live their life to the fullest. But with the case of some vets who refused to get their age get the best of them, they are taking up deals of veterans franchise opportunity to help their selves get back the feeling of ‘belonging’ amidst a busy world.

Majority of them also described that a New York style pizza franchise gave them the right franchise deal – complete with all the marketing techniques and setting up of the shop – and has helped them reach a more steady and fulfilled life. And with such an opportunity they grabbed, they can always feel that distinct sense of contentment and ‘belonging’…..even if they’ve long left the battlefields.
