Startup Radically Reinvents The Tradition of Disposable 3D glasses, Introducing Stylish & Comfortable Designer 3D frames
Young entrepreneurs seeking funding from Kickstarter to grow their company designing 3D glasses for movie theaters and TV.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 11, 2011 --
Just released on Kickstarter: from the company that started the fashion movement in 3D, a new line of fashionable 3D glasses. Ingri:Dahl, the company established by the two Norwegian tech twins Kine and Einy Paulsen, is responsible for a new revolutionary signature product: a stylish 3D clip-on for prescription glasses. Now the twins are looking to the crowdfunding site, Kickstarter, to fund the Spring Collection 2012.
“ – Our previous models have showed that the world is ready to be fashionable at the movies or watching 3D in your home. It is not just a gadget for the movie nerds.” says founder, Einy Paulsen. Their glasses have been featured at events, such as Vogue’s Fashion’s Night Out, Gen Art during LA Fashion Week, and the International 3D Film Festival in Hollywood. The glasses have also been featured on NBC, Hollywood Reporter, Ubergizmo and Engadget.
The timing could not be better. In a statement released September 2011, Sony Pictures notified theater owners that they would no longer pay for 3D glasses with the release of The Amazing Spider-Man in May 2012. “This means that the 3D viewers can finally choose their own styles, and we believe they will want to look better”, Kine Paulsen confirms.
The twins also have good news for people with glasses. “We are now bringing 3D to the people that have not had access to the world of 3D before”, her twin sister Kine Paulsen adds, “In the past, everyone using prescription glasses had to put uncomfortable and ugly 3D glasses on top of their own. But now, Ingri:Dahl has introduced a fashionable and trendy 3D clip-on”
“Either on a date or just hanging out with friends watching 3D on a TV, we want our designs to make people feel fashionable while watching 3D,” say founders Kine and Einy. Traditionally 3D glasses have been very uncomfortable and produced in large numbers. Einy Paulsen explains, “customers have said that both the viewing quality and the comfort of our glasses has made their 3D experience even better. And our glasses will certainly help the current waste problem related to producing millions of glasses every year.”
“And if you’re worried about germs, have no fear. You can use your own glasses in your home, and at the cinema”
Their Kickstarter pledges start as small as $1 and go all the way up to $1000. The backers are offered gifts ranging from a heartfelt thank you to an entire Spring Collection and even 3D movie tickets!
INGRI:DAHL is a Norwegian design label located in Los Angeles designing fashionable eyewear for 3D viewing. Their line of fashionable 3D glasses and 3D clip-ons are for sale at the Ingri:Dahl web store as well as in select stores.
