Spending the weekend at Ambiente Messe, Frankfurt looking for new products. With China Hire and glass hire in mind I walked miles and miles.
I have just spent the past weekend carrying out one of my more important and enjoyable duties as Managing Director of Adams, looking for wonderful new items to stock for our discerning clients. This time my travels took me to Frankfurt and its huge trade show Ambiente Messe Frankfurt.
Following a nice, easy BA flight from Heathrow at 7am on Saturday 16th, I was in a great mood for looking around the Exhibition Halls. The Messe Frankfurt is absolutely vast, consisting of 11 halls, each of which spans at least 3 floors and is roughly the size of Excel.
In fact, the whole exhibition centre is so enormous that they lay on special shuttle buses to take you to each hall, a great foot-saving idea! Still I was not daunted; I was on an exciting mission and the Messe Frankfurt is a nice place to be for all its size “ plenty of cafes, little shops and other facilities.
I started off by visiting the Porcelain & China hall. I went straight to the stand of a long-time associate. He had so many stunning new and exciting products that my trip was nearly over before it had really begun! There was a wonderful array of glass plates in gorgeous colours: red, gold, silver, blue and green. There were brilliant matching martini glasses. Plus a very appealing range of new porcelain. There was no shortage of items to seriously consider buying.
However I continued in the meantime, coming across some lovely small rice bowls and a tempting new range of bone china. I moved on to cutlery, meeting up with the supplier of our London range. They offer a premium product that is made by a first-rate process in Spain and of the highest quality.
As I flitted through the halls I thoroughly enjoyed being at the heart of this international extravaganza, which boasts exhibitors and visitors from every country, with stalls offering to supply everything you could possibly imagine.
I carried on until 5pm, which means I clocked up a good few walking miles, then after going back to the hotel for a great night's sleep I was up at 8am on Sunday to start all over again!
The second day rushed by in a whirl of further exciting products and soon it was 3pm and time to leave to catch my flight back to City Airport (only 30 minute from home “ great)! Exhausted but delighted with the successful trip, I mulled over the many exciting new products that are coming our way for the spring. So, keep checking our website for news of launches “ you'll be the first to know!
