SteriTouch® antimicrobial masterbatch selected for Bedfont’s Carbon Monoxide monitor

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 15, 2011 -- Designed for use in smoking cessation programmes, schools, pharmacies and health clinics, SteriTouch® selected its universal masterbatch for the ABS body and TPE overmould of the monitor, for its proven efficacy in a variety of polymers. The injection moulding of both materials results in a durable casing with a soft grip.

The Pico+ system already included disposable mouthpieces to prevent cross infection between users of the device, yet independent testing showed that adding SteriTouch® into the monitor itself reduced MRSA levels by 99.99%, a further aspect of protection which remains effective over the lifetime of the product.
