StrengthsMapper creates a graphic mind map of a person’s top five natural strengths as defined by the results of an online assessment questionnaire. With years of research backing up the proposition that people who work to their strengths are not only happier, but more productive, this graphic depiction can then be shared with co-workers or other colleagues in an effort to promote a more effective work environment.

“The positive results for an individual using StrengthsMapper are significant,” noted Taylor. “The unique Action Plan wizard helps people to quickly identify steps that will further develop their strengths. The personal strengths map (PSM) can be further developed into a poster suitable for display. StrengthsMapper Basic is the version of the product most suited for individual use, while StrengthsMapper Pro, has been specially designed for team analysis and team building. StrengthsMapper Pro facilitates the mapping of teams and visually depicts how the dynamics of individual strengths come together to contribute to the overall effectiveness of a team.

“StrengthsMapper Pro allows a manager to quickly assess the combined strengths of a team and compare those to the strengths that have been defined as necessary for a project or objective,” said Taylor. “The manager can create a talent pool of individuals and drag and drop those individual PSMs into the team. The software will automatically update the strengths summary and show the connecting lines between the individuals and their contribution to the team strengths. Then it’s simply a matter of adjusting personnel until the desired combinations are reached.”
