FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 25, 2011 -- Swedish Angel Chimes Christmas 2011 Press Release

Sioux Falls, SD, November 22, 2011 - The Christmas tradition of Swedish musical Angel chimes is back, after experiencing over a year of complete unavailability due to the Swedish manufacturer stopping production.

The Swedish firm ended the manufacturing of the chimes after many years. Production of the brass cutout model, which started in Sweden in 1948 is now the traditional chimes.

Jacobsen Imports of Sioux Falls, SD, a center of the nation importer, is happy to report the chimes stock has arrived and is again available in quantity in time for this Christmas season.

Though production has moved to Europe, Jacobsen affirms they are up to the original long term Swedish manufacturing standards.

The joys of Christmas past are remembered with the joyous tinkling sounds of these original 12 inch full size brass finish angel chimes made in Gefle, Sweden, by Anderson & Boberg for over 60 years.

This full size metal candelabra comes with four candles. When burning, the heat from the flames rises and spins the angels which joyfully tinkle the bells.

It is the musical part that has made the chimes a tradition for many families and for many it just is not Christmas until you hear the Angel Chimes.

The angel chimes tradition started in the U.S. about 100 years ago when immigrant families brought along the German angel chimes.

The revolving fully lithographed model musical angel chimes, originally patented in Germany, in 1905 had been discontinued in the late 30's.

The Swedish firm picked up the production with what has become the traditional brass cut out angel figures in 1948.

Asian firms recently started manufacturing a smaller, lighter weight, less expensive bearing, and parts, and sold for a fraction of the selling price of the Swedish Angel Chimes.

This competition cut sales and with ever higher production costs, the Swedish firm discontinued production.

A Turkish metal firm bought the Swedish factory equipment and trade mark, and resumed production in 2010.

Jacobsen Imports has been selling the Swedish Chimes since 1972 and have now resumed full volume sales with the Turkish, manufactured chimes, after affirming that they met the quality standards of the Swedish chimes.

Harlan Jacobsen, long time angel chimes tradition fan, ever since a child, distributes chimes and the refill candles, has moved all sales now, to exclusively on the internet at http://AngelChimes.com with this moving to the net the last nine years. This has resulted in developing customers worldwide.

Jacobsen even offers parts to those who have had a set of musical chimes for years and may have lost one small part in bringing them out every year.

In addition they also offer a kit of a clown top and three brass circus horses to make the chimes useable for birthday parties and anniversaries. Thereby extending the celebration feature of the musical chimes to year around.

Jacobsen says that he does a lot of repeat, year after year business in chimes candles, since customers need refills every year. These 4" chime candles are imported from Germany, burn about 2 hours. These candles come in ten colors, but white and red are the most in demand.

Jacobsen says he "estimates there are a half million to well over one million U.S. families that bring out and set up their musical angel chimes each Christmas as part of a family tradition of Christmas."

And that most purchases of chimes he says, now are by adults who grew up with chimes as part of Christmas and now want their children and grandchildren to experience their joy and fascination of the musical angel chimes as part of their Christmas experience.
